Welcome to Prof. Ai-Min Li's Research Lab!
Our group focuses on pioneering new chemistries and cutting-edge devices that offer high efficiency and low cost to tackle critical energy storage challenges. We conduct interdisciplinary research across organic, inorganic chemistry, materials science, and electrochemical engineering, with a focused aim: boosting energy utilization efficiency in new-generation batteries (Li / Na / K / Zn / Al / Mg ... etc.). Our key research activities include three core areas: designing and synthesizing advanced electrolytes, electrode materials, investigating interfacial interactions and correlations, and developing high-energy batteries using eco-friendly materials.
Key research topics include:
(1) Molecular electrolyte design (AI-aided chemical synthesis) for high-capacity electrodes
(2) Solvation structure investigation (supramolecular chemistry) for effective interphase construction
(3) Materials innovation (electrodes and separators) for efficient energy storage and conversion
(4) Advanced characterization (in situ monitoring) for interphase decoding and evolution
(5) New battery development for multi-application scenes (safe, fast-charge, extreme temperature ... etc.)
We aim to advance the fundamental understanding of key challenges facing today’s energy storage and to pursue the practical potentials of our innovations toward a sustainable and clean future.
We cordially invite passionate talents worldwide to join us !
Let’s embark on this exciting journey together !!
