--- Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) (link)
The Fellowship provides an annual stipend of HK$340,800 (approximately US$43,690) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$14,200 (approximately US$1,820) per year for each awardee for a period up to three years.
--- HKU Presidential PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKU-PS) (link)
Each HKU Presidential PhD Scholar will receive a package of up to around HK$439,500 (US$56,350) in the first year, and up to around HK$422,000 (US$54,110) in each of the subsequent years during the normative study period.
--- RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (PDFS) (link)
The PDFS provides support for a period of 36 months in terms of full-time appointment as a postdoctoral fellow (PdF) at HKU in each round of the yearly exercise. For each awardee, the supporting university will receive an annual stipend of HK$420,090 per year for the awardee’s basic salary, a conference and research-related travel allowance (of HK$13,350 per year inclusively).
--- RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme (JRFS) (link)
The JRFS provides support for a period of 24 months to conduct postdoctoral research on a full-time basis at HKU, with an optional extension of the postdoctoral stage for up to 12 months upon request. The prevailing annual stipend is around HK$425,000 (inclusive of the travel allowance at around HK$13,500). The amount of the annual stipend will be adjusted after every 12 months during the fellowship period with reference to the Composite Consumer Price Index (CCPI) and related factors, and supporting universities will be informed of the updated rate in April / May every year.
--- JC STEM Early Career Research Fellowship (link)
The Fellowship support for a maximum of four years, including an up to 12-month local industry attachment. Fellows will receive a stipend of up to HKD 530,000 per annum for three years, Upon successful completion of the Fellowship, an additional 15% gratuity will be offered; up to HKD 30,600 per annum for three years for academic development and exchange allowance; up to HKD 300,000 for research project seed funding; translational research industry attachment subsidy in an eligible local organisation (up to capped at $30,000 per month, for 12 months, in addition to the three-year stipends).
